I had a pet rat, a fancy rat named Neeka, and having never had such a pet (she was a rescue), I didn't know what to expect. In the three years she lived, she gave me lots of love, affection, laughter and kept me company while my husband was deployed. Almost ten years since her death, I still miss her and her fuzzy face. So thank you for reminding me of my wee Neeka.
